Experience
This isn't a task list. It's decisions: what I chose, why, and what happened next.
- Building full-stack applications for commercial IoT (Internet of Things) products, with technologies such as Node, React, NestJS, InfluxDB, MongoDB, MySQL, Chirpstack and MQTT.
- Analysis and development of dashboards for handling real-time data.
- Production deployments of containerised cloud applications with a strongly multi-tenant character.
- Leading the company’s development team, building apps (on MEVN / MERN / PHP stacks) and coordinating the developers.
- Deploying our own containerised architecture for cloud services and apps.
- Integrating ERPs and a range of data sources.
- Analysis and development of new software, both in-house and for clients, as well as improving existing products.
- Teaching Enterprise Software Platforms, a third-year course on the BSc in Services and Applications Software Engineering covering the end-to-end process of building enterprise applications, in the 2023/2024 and 2025/2026 academic years
- Teaching Foundations of IT, a second-year course on the same degree covering the fundamentals of web development, in the 2023/2024 academic year
- Teaching Intelligent Systems, a fourth-year course on the same degree covering the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, in the 2022/2023 academic year
- Developer on tourism-sector projects built mainly on leading-edge technologies such as Node.js, MongoDB, Go and Google Cloud Platform.
- Integration of external tourism provider APIs, both REST and SOAP.
- Implementation of ETL and data collection across different tourism products.
Joined initially as a developer on an internship (25 hours a week) while finishing my degree, and later as a full-time Junior Engineer on frontend / Digital Experience projects, working mainly with Angular. Resolving technical incidents and building features and components — both logic and interface — for Orange and Viajes El Corte Inglés.
